      Smooth Brome Grass

      • 135000 seeds/lb - Drought proof with strong upright growth for hay. Can be overly creeping to limit in mixture.
        AAC Royal - Improved highly productive smooth brome grass.

      Meadow Brome Grass

      • 93000 seeds/lb - High quality grass with primarily basal growth as excellent grazing linch pin grass.
        Stratus - Productive meadow brome with improved drought tolerance.

      Slender Wheat Grass

      • 15000 seeds/lb - Starter grass with medium life span. Excellent early seral grass.

      Intermediate/Pubescent Wheat Grass

      Green Wheat Grass

        Dividend VL - An exceptionally late-maturing, high quality variety designed to match the maturity of alfalfa for superior mixed-stand forage. This provides high yields and excellent quality and increased flexibility when used in mixed stands.
        Sundown - Late maturity with improved drought tolerance.
        Diceros - Late maturity with strong growth and disease resistance for high digestibility.

      Tall Fescue

      Meadow Fescue

      • 325000 seeds/lb - Well suited to thrve in moist fertile soils.
        Raskila - High yielding medium maturity type with excellent forage quality, fast regrowth and strong winter survival.

      Festulolium

      • 227000 seeds/lb - Fast growing bunch grass of Italian Rye Grass x either Tall Fescue, Meadow Fescue, or perennial rye grass.
        Spring Green - Elite Italian Rye x Meadow Fescue hybrid. Very fast growth as starter component with high quality.

      Perennial Rye Grass

      • 227000 seeds/lb - Although requiring good moisture, perennial rye grass is high yielding and highly palatable. Aggressive early spring growth are additional benefits.
        Oro Verde - High performance tetraploid variety engineered for superior cold tolerance, rapid establishment, and high quality forage.
        Soraya - Medium late tetraploid perennial rye grass known for high digestibility, well suited to intensive grazing. Does well in cool environments.

    • With either a focus on drought, flooding or salinity, these are tough as nails species with a focus on fit over forage quality.

      Crested Wheat Grass

      • 218000 seeds/lb - Easy to establish with great dought tolerance and early growth - best suited for early season pasture or absolute arid hay production.
        New Kirk - Improved Canadian Variety with improved yield over Kirk as well as wider leaves.

      Russian Wild Rye Grass

      • 167500 seeds/lb - Saline tolerant drought resistant perennial bunch grass. Use is often limited as it is slow to establish, highly competitive and creates hummocky terrain.

      Tall Wheat Grass

      • 75000 seeds/lb - Excellent saline tolerance in a very large and upright growth. Late maturity creates feed with very poor palatability.
        Hercules Brand - From Greenway Seeds - selected for improved forage quality.

      Reed Canary Grass

      • 480000 seeds/lb - Tall grass forming dense mats in wet areas, often out competing all other species. Poor forage quality.
        Marathon - Selected for lower alkoloid content - a problem in reed canarygrass.

    • Low growth accompanied often with high forage density, these species protect open soil, reducing weed intrusion and reducing soil temperature and evaporation loss.

      Sheeps/Hard Fescue

      • 595000 seeds/lb - Hardy drought tolerant grass ideal for soil cover in dryland pastures. Moderate nutritional value while great ground cover.

      Creeping Red Fescue

      • 615000 seeds/lb - Palatable hard long lived and sod forming low growing grass with great fall production. Good drought tolerance.

      Kentucky Blue Grass

      • 2200000 seeds/lb - Highly palatable sod forming grass with good palatability and nutritional value. Best used in mixes.
        Ginger - Early season forage specific variety with excellent palatability.

    • Timothy is one of the most popular forage grasses in the Pariries. It was well adapted to high moisture and poor drainage but thrives under good managerment. Domestically, Timothy is well suited for horse feed, close up dairy hay, and an excellent starter for feeding calves.
